Mobile WiFi HotSpots

As many of us have unfortunately found out the hard way, the internet is not always available to us when we need it. Whether it is a dead zone for our smartphones or the spotty Loyola internet connection in most dorms, we do not always have access to our email, homework, or leisure programs such as Skype. Often times, there is no real explanation for this phenomenon. The internet is either there, or it is not. Thanks to Walking Hot Spot from TapRoot systems, that problem is no longer an issue. Walking Hot Spot is an app that you can download to your smartphone that instantly creates a hotspot, or a place of high internet connectivity, for nearby cell phones and other WiFi enabled devices. Walking Hot Spot is a revolutionary app that will forever change the way the internet is accessed by all.
The good: Walking Hot Spot is relatively inexpensive. For $6.99 a month or $24.99 a year, you can have the internet at your fingertips no matter where you are, as long as there is mobile network coverage. Once you are connected, you can share your wireless internet with up to 4 other devices ranging from laptops to smartphones to mp3 players. The installation of Walking Hot Spot is as easy as it comes. Simply sign up for it at walkinghotspot.com and follow the link provided in the SMS message that will be sent to your phone. After a brief 5 minute download, you're good to go. As we all know, anytime someone can poach free WiFi where available, they will. On the Walking Hot Spot system, you are connected to a secure client server architecture, so only the people you choose can reap the benefits of the money you paid for the app.
Like all products, Walking Hot Spot has disadvantages to accompany its advantages. One major downside to Walking Hot Spot at the moment is that it is not available to all carriers. Right now, the software is limited to Nokia and HTC phones that operate Windows Mobile. Surely, Walking Hot Spot will soon be available to all carriers and phones, as the product will be in high demand. Servers such as T-Mobile and AT&T would be foolish to not include this feature with their iPhones and Android phones. While carriers must be salivating over the opportunity presented, the owners of cyber cafes and other wireless internet shops surely are cringing over the possibility of being run out of business. With customers no longer coming in to reap the benefits of free wireless internet, cyber cafes will lose many, if not most, of their customers. From an operating standpoint, anyone with a smartphone knows that the more apps the phone runs, the quicker the battery runs out. While I have never tested Walking Hot Spot, nor do I know anyone who has, I can safely say that constantly running an application whose purpose is to find and secure a wireless internet connection should put a little more stress on the battery, thus requiring more frequent charging.
Overall, I believe this product would be perfect for anyone who does a lot of traveling or has to rely on the internet frequently for business. Wireless Hot Spot eliminates searching for a cyber cafe, inconvenient wireless internet fees in airports, and the general frustration when you find out that there is actually no wireless internet around. It allows users to always have access to the internet and provide 4 other mobile devices with the ability to get online. For the typical college student or someone who does not need the internet constantly, I'm not sure the product would be worth it the $7 a month or $25 a year. Needless to say, Wireless Hot Spot is undoubtedly the next step in providing endless information to the public regardless of location, time, and internet connection.
